Hi,
I write crime novels, because I'm interested in the underbelly of life, in the darkest corners of human behaviour. I worked as a probation officer, and have continued to work within the criminal justice system. Hopefully this keeps my novels fresh and authentic.
Books I've Written
The James Version is my fictional take of the murder of Maria Marten in the Red Barn.
The Woman Before Me is a psychological thriller, about a women obsessed with her lovers ex-wife.
The Sacrificial Man is a dark tale about an assisted suicide, and has some unexpected twists.
Humber Boy B, my latest, is about a ten year old boy who committed a murder and his attempt, eight years later, to return to society.
Favorite Authors
I studied English Literature at University and not one single female author was on the compulsory reading list, so I've been making up for it since. I adore Donna Tartt, and Joyce Carol Oates. I'm also Gillian Flynn's number one fan. I rate Phillips Gregory, and as my first novel was historical, I do like to be transported into the past. But I equally enjoy a good dystopia. The Hunger Games and Divergent are among my favourite books.
